Committee Lead Positions
Committee Lead positions run throughout the whole season and are vital to the team.
Fundraising
This position begins in February/March to find team sponsors. Along with obtaining sponsors, will need to make sure our obligations to the sponsors are met, including banners for the top levels. Coordinating all Spirit Nights and identifying opportunities to fundraise through local businesses.
Spirit Wear
Responsible for managing the spirit wear budget as developed by the board. Manage the creation and sale of spirit wear with the vendor. In addition, the lead will coordinate the swim team apparel, including swimsuits, swim caps, t-shirts, etc. Assist with the preseason suit fitting and parent information night.
Historian
Take pictures at events and create the End of Season video. Write and post news items on the Swim Team Website and Facebook Page. Write short informational articles for the HOA newsletter. Promote upcoming events on social media.
Concessions
Responsible for the profit and loss of the concessions stand. Works with the board to develop a list of desired items before meets. Coordinates the pick-up/delivery of hot food during the home meets. Maintains the bank for concessions operations, oversees set up and break down of the concession stand, and maintains the inventory.
Social
Responsible for working with the coaches and board to plan and coordinate social and team-building events. The Social Lead will work with the board and other committee leads to organize volunteers for the events, including special breakfasts, team building events, meet themes, and the end of the season party.
